MuleSoft is providing Addison Lee with its Anypoint Platform, which the taxi company will use to deliver its mobile application.
The car service, which has more than 50% of its bookings made through digital channels, will look to use the API-led connectivity to gain value from internal data ad IT services through the design, implementation and management of API’s.
Peter Ingram, CTO, Addison Lee, said: "MuleSoft came out on top of the integration and API offerings we considered in terms of technical capability, total cost of ownership and vendor support."
The Open API will launch next month and allow for partners to connect to Addison Lee’s data and services in order to develop their own applications and websites that offer ground transportation to customers.
The mobile application is already available in London and will soon be rolled out in New York and Paris, with a further 20 cities to follow.
The application provides real-time routing information, including notifications regarding road works and delays.
