ZTE, a provider of telecommunications equipment and network offerings, said that it will launch IMS 6.0 offering designed to meet the requirements of current network transformation for 4G in mobile and fixed fields.
ZTE said that the IMS 6.0 offers converged conference, tele-presence, surveillance, gaming, streaming and rich communication suite (RCS), for 4G/LTE transformation. It also provides policy-based resources and charging control functionality and supports user-based and service-based QoS policy control.
The company claims that the new version offers an enhanced version of ZXUN xAGCF, which supports legacy interfaces that include POTS, V5, ISDN BRI / PRI, H.323, and supports the integration of current OSS/BSS, integrating with existing services.
Wang Xiaoqiang, general manager of IMS product line at ZTE, said: The overall objective of next-generation network construction is to build a unified network through network transformation. This phase will bring collaborative development in network scale, network security, quality of service, network mobility, network management and service innovation.
“ZTE’s IMS 6.0 solution deploys some of the most cutting-edge technologies – cloud computing and distributed design – to reduce network complexity, improve system robustness and increase the efficiency of building networks with the lowest possible TCO to go through the critical transformation period.
