In February 2008, VimpelCom merged with Golden Telecom, a facilities-based provider of integrated telecommunications and internet services in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. VimpelCom Group has selected NetCracker as the OSS supplier for the unified IT architecture that will integrate VimpelCom and Golden Telecom’s operations.
NetCracker’s complex service has already been deployed at Golden Telecom, where it provides information about Golden’s network infrastructure. NetCracker’s solution has enabled Golden Telecom to consolidate its physical and logical network resources as well as its service data. Also, NetCracker’s OSS solution has improved network troubleshooting and capacity management.
