Switzerland’s telecommunications provider Swisscom has deployed BroadSoft’s BroadWorks voice application platform to introduce a new hosted unified communications (UC) application.
The new UC application targets small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and voice service to the residential markets.
Swisscom has selected BroadWorks platform to deploy a suite of IP-based and integrated services that will provide SMEs with a flexible, cost effective application.
The deployment of IP-based and integrated services suite will deliver compatibility with the customer’s preferred SIP phones and legacy hardware to ensure transition.
The IP-based services suite will provide a scalable IMS-ready platform that enables enhanced applications such as web-based call management, call forwarding to all devices, hunt groups, and receptionist capabilities.
In addition, the workforce mobility as BroadWorks Anywhere provides enterprise end-users with a single number that can ring to an employee’s deskphone, mobile, smartphone or home phone, as well as one-click capabilities to move calls from one phone to another without hanging up.
Swisscom can now offer first-line VoIP for its fiber customers in addition to BroadWorks for the SME Hosted Voice application.
