Switzerland-based telecommunications provider Sunrise has awarded a five year contract to Huawei for managing its mobile and fixed network including internet and IPTV.

The agreement will see Huawei provide new services, including design and planning, network building and integration network performance management, field operations, network operations, and spare parts management.

Sunrise will benefit from a significant improvement in the network performance, end-user experience and network quality, the company said.

Huawei said its processes, tools and methodologies will help Sunrise enhance performance of both the fixed and mobile network.

Sunrise CEO Oliver Steil said the company will roll out new network programme TQ Net with the help of Huawei.

"We opted for this partner after successfully cooperating for over two years, during which we saw ample evidence of Huawei’s innovative abilities and drive,"Steil said.
