Sipera Systems unveils new security appliance for VoIP and UC

Comes with SIP trunk termination and SIP trunk security

By CBR Staff Writer

Sipera Systems, a provider of unified communications (UC) security, has unveiled UC-Sec 100 security appliance for small and medium businesses (SMBs), which provides privacy and threat protection for VoIP and unified communications.

According to Sipera Systems, benefits of UC-Sec 100 for SMBs include, private communications across any network to any device in any location with IP communications access, SIP trunk termination and SIP trunk security to decrease costs for connectivity to the public switched telephone network, and protection against VoIP and UC security vulnerabilities and zero day threats, including toll fraud, eavesdropping, and data theft.

The new UC-Sec 100 comes with a user interface for managing and monitoring the security architecture of VoIP and UC applications. It provides security across all applications in the unified communications infrastructure, including VoIP, instant messaging, video, presence and collaboration applications, the company claims.

Adam Boone, vice president of marketing at Sipera, said: Enterprises around the world rely on Sipera Systems to protect their UC applications, networks and devices, and to support corporate initiatives to safeguard communications and satisfy privacy laws, regulatory mandates and confidentiality requirements.”
