Research In Motion, the maker of BlackBerry, said on Wednesday through its official Twitter account that "some users" are experiencing delays.

The Canadian company said it was not fighting an outage similar to the one that took down its service for four days last month and promised to update its users as soon as possible.

According to the company, some BlackBerry users reported delays in service in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

In October, a core switch failure in RIM affected email, Internet and messaging service for millions of BlackBerry users in five continents for up to four days.

This glitch in a facility in England, initially affected Europe and surrounding regions before it spread to North and South America.
