Redknee, a provider of business billing and charging software and offerings for communications service providers, has released Enhanced Location Services (ELS) 7.0 platform, an update to its integrated commercial and emergency location based services (LBS) platform.
Redknee ELS 7.0 release provides a single scalable location gateway to support both users and emergency location services, the company said.
The built-in subscriber privacy policy and personalisation framework can now capitalise on the entire wireless value chain by exposing location to third party applications or directly offering location-based services, all interfacing with industry standards based network elements.
The expansion will see Tier 1 operators in North America benefit from scalability in order to support its regulatory requirements for emergency services and to deliver value-added-services (VAS) for its commercial LBS.
The ELS 7.0 platform has been designed to scale horizontally to meet the demands of a growing subscriber base for Tier-1 operators whilst reducing the total cost of ownership.
The resulting platform enables the operators to reduce their capital and operating expenses associated with the deployment of their location based services, the company claims.
Redknee’s CEO Lucas Skoczkowski said Redknee’s monetisation offerings are delivering the scalability and innovation to enable operators to capitalise on this opportunity.
