Netgear launches 4G LTE router for Verizon mobile broadband network

User side LAN with four ethernet ports and 802.11n Wi-Fi at up to 270 Mbps

Netgear, a networking company, has launched MBR1000 Mobile Broadband Router which is designed for Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network.

The new router enables new business applications and broadband access to home and business users on move or outside the wired broadband territory.

The new device is designed to support LTE speeds of up to 100 Mbps downstream by 50 Mbps upstream. The MBR1000 supports the wireless data speeds of 5-12 Mbps downstream and 2-5 Mbps upstream on the Verizon Wireless LTE network.

The MBR1000 delivers customer-side LAN with four ethernet ports and 802.11n Wi-Fi at up to 270 Mbps and features redundant WAN network availability with a separate Ethernet WAN uplink port.

The new router Dual WAN feature gives users can switch between WANs for always on network service should their selected primary WAN experience an outage an important feature for fixed business applications.

The MBR1000 can be deployed on rail, bus or select coastal marine vessels as well as in mining, construction, logging, parks and rural areas, expanding broadband Internet access, with which users can now have access to IP-based entertainment and valuable productivity tools on the go.
