LG U+ in Korea has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to rollout LTE network and provide its customers with faster data speeds and superior mobile broadband access.

Nokia Siemens Networks will deploy its single radio access network (RAN) including its Flexi Multiradio Base Station and NetAct management system to provide consolidated configuration, monitoring and network optimisation.

In addition, Nokia Siemens Networks will provide network implementation services to ensure a rapid LTE network roll out that will enable LG U+ a faster time to market, expected to provide it with a competitive advantage, said the company.

Nokia Siemens Networks Asia Pacific region head Paul Tyler said the deal for Nokia Siemens Networks in Korea is a sign of their commitment to LG U+ and to the Korean market.

"This deal puts Nokia Siemens Networks at the forefront of LTE deployments in Korea and we are delighted to support LG U+ in creating a world class mobile broadband service," Tyler said.
