Indian telco Idea Cellular has posted standalone profit after tax of INR3.03 billion for the fourth quarter ended march 31, 2009, compared to INR2.77 billion in the same quarter of fiscal 2008.
The company reported standalone total revenue of INR28.63 billion for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009, compared to INR19.85 billion in the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2009.
Profit after tax (PAT) for the consolidated company, which includes Idea Cellular, Spice Telecom and Indus, for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009 was INR2.74 billion, compared to INR2.77 billion in the same quarter of fiscal 2008. Total revenue of the consolidated company for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009 was INR29.35 billion, compared to INR19.85 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008.
For the full year ended March 31, 2009, the company posted standalone PAT of INR9.75 billion, compared to INR10.42 billion in the same period of fiscal 2008. Standalone total revenue for the full fiscal 2009 were INR99.62 billion, compared to INR67.37 billion in fiscal 2008.
PAT for the consolidated company for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2009 was INR9 billion, compared to INR10.42 billion in fiscal 2008. Total revenue of the consolidated company for the fiscal 2009 were INR101.48 billion, compared to INR67.37 billion in fiscal 2008.
