Huawei has unveiled 300mm-depth IP platform with 20G/40Gbps capacity. The CX600-X1 and CX600-X2 (CX600-X1/X2) metro services platform (MSP) enable IP intelligence on metro network edge, drive convergence, enhance capability for deployment and reduce CAPEX and OPEX, which help operators to develop broadband metro area network (MAN).
Huawei said that the CX600-X1/X2 MSP addresses the lack of IP capability by traditional access equipment by having compact size and IP capability, making the platform suitable to be hosted in the same 300mm-deep cabinet as access nodes such as DSLAM, MSAN and transmission equipment.
The CX600-X1/X2, together with the company’s CX600-X3/X8/X16, enhances IPTime broadband metro suite that ensures deployment, providing intelligent services for users.
Designed on a hardware-based non-blocking switching routing platform, CX600-X1/X2 comes with forwarding capacity of 20G/40G, with 40G/80G expandable option. It also have port types ranging from E1, CPOS, FE, GE, to 10GE and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 features that facilitate service deployment and make the network future-proof, the company said.
