Huawei has unveiled a new solution for data centre disaster recovery, that will provide customers with stable, convenient service continuity solutions.

The six-level, active-active architecture and array made its debut at CeBIT 2015 in Hanover, Germany.

Today’s enterprises not only focus on the data processing performance of data centres, but also demand continuity of services that run stably and efficiently to address any incidents at any time.

Huawei saw a gap in the market and focused on optimising resource utilisation, short service recovery time and a more simple O&M.

By adopting an active-active design at six levels, including storage, computing, application, network, security, and transmission, the new solution will have an architecture optimised by the new active-active array feature.

Companies will benefit from uninterrupted data centre services and zero data loss with the new end-to-end active-active architecture.

Huawei’s release will also implement management of heterogeneous virtual storage resources and the cross-data centre dual-write function by providing the necessary active-active array feature.

This same feature will eliminate the I/O performance bottlenecks of traditional gateway solutions, requiring fewer nodes, and reducing risks. Furthermore, service performance has been improved by 30%.

Mr. Su Chung Yen, IT Director of Huawei Data Centre DR Solution, said: "Cloud computing technologies are maturing. The cloud resource pool-based DR solution will evolve with the development of production technologies in new technical architecture.

"Huawei will dedicate in the research and development of DR solutions and help customers from various industries construct stable IT systems with its advantages in products and solutions."

Also at CeBIT, the Chinese giant announced a new partnership with Spanish Grupogiro Power Solutions. The group will be Huawei Enterprise’s UPS and Modular DC partner in the Mediterranean country with the partnership beginning with modular UPS products.

Mr. Daniel Heredia Romero, CEO of Grupogiro said, "Since 1998 GrupoGiro has given priority to the constant research of technological advances on electrical supply quality sector, finding the most suitable customised solutions as well as providing an accurate technical service. Huawei offers a quality, modular and high efficiency solution which will ensure the leadership of GrupoGiro in Spain."
