Google has entered into an agreement with Deutsche Telekom whereby Google will become the default search provider for mobile phone users.

Deutsche Telekom said that Google search will be the pre-selected search provider for mobile phone internet searches and will be available via web’n’walk browser homepage and the phone’s idle screen.

The telecom company said that roll out began on 1st October across its European footprint.

Deutsche Telekom SVP of Mobile Products Rainer Deutschmann said, Google is best placed to deliver the demanding product requirements they have for their customers .

"Google already provides the search service for our fixed-line business and we expect synergies in the future as we continue to release innovative convergent solutions," Deutschmann said.
