Services, infrastructures and renewable energy companies FCC has signed a five-year agreement with communications services and offerings provider BT for delivery of the global data network and fixed communications services.
Under this agreement, BT will provide wide and local area networking services, fixed voice services, video conferencing and remote access for more than 12,000 users located in approximately 850 sites and also covers more than 50 countries in four continents – from Egypt to France, from the UAE to Russia, from Peru to Singapore and the US.
FCC Administration and Information Technology general manager Antonio Gómez Ciria said the offering designed by BT will centralise all of FCC’s current data centres into only two centres in Spain, allowing us to consolidate BT’s international communications network.
"By creating a robust technology platform, this supports the Citizen Services Group’s strategy of expanding activities internationally. Working together with BT will make it happen with greater efficiency and reliability, while gaining improvements in performance," said
BT Spain, Portugal and Latin America vice-president Jacinto Cavestany said thanks to the high level of commitment and the quality of services BT have provided in recent years, FCC now recognises BT as one of its most important strategic partners.
