Ericsson and Verizon Wireless have collaborated to launch two new offerings: Ericsson Converged Workspace and Ericsson 4G Mobile Broadband Router on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network, at the International CES.
The Ericsson converged workspace offering is for small businesses that will provide the ‘office in a box’ offering with fully integrated multiple cellular connections.
The offering will be powered by Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network, which will enable it to provide full PBX functionality, simultaneous voice calls across multiple cellular lines, LTE VoIP and multi-user Internet connectivity.
The company said the Ericsson Converged Workspace unit allows businesses to deploy new office locations or set up temporary work environments within minutes.
The second offering – Ericsson 4G Mobile Broadband Router leverages the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE mobile broadband router for both homes and small offices.
The company said that new offering provides high-speed wireless Internet access, Wi-Fi functionality and voice calling via LTE VoIP.
Ericsson said that as an infrastructure provider for Verison Wieless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network, it is developing offering that will leverage on the increased speed and low latency of 4G networks.
Both the new offerings will use Ericsson’s mobile broadband modules and will be based on ST-Ericsson platforms, which will allow them to be an end-to-end supplier in the LTE ecosystem.
