eOn Communications and Esna Technologies (Esnatech) have released a new version of their mobile unified communication software, Mobile UC Client, for the eOn eNterprise IP Messenger for the RIM BlackBerry devices in the BlackBerry App World.

Eon said that the Mobile UC Client provides communications and collaboration services for mobile users, integrating presence, messaging, mobility and computer telephony to users over mobile devices.

The company said that the integration of unified communications onto wireless devices allows mobile users to connect to the office and be able to communicate as if they were at their desk. Esnatech and eOn Communications have released the new version for BlackBerry users in the App World that have the company’s Millennium and eQueue IP telephony platforms.

According to eOn, with the new Mobile UC Client, users of the company’s eNterprise IP Messenger would have access to the following features directly from their BlackBerry device which include: manage their office presence and live location; to see and find the presence and availability of colleagues in the office; to manage live office calls directly from their BlackBerry and initiate and or participate in enterprise instant messaging sessions.

Reportedly, the new Mobile UC Client software can be downloaded directly from BlackBerry App World to the BlackBerry RIM device and connect through IP to the eNterprise IP Messenger that is connected to both the enterprise PBX and e-mail platform.
