Data centre firm Baselayer signs channel deal with Finning

The deal will see Finning offer Baselayer's modular data centre technology in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

By Amy-Jo Crowley

Baselayer, the data centre firm that split from IO, is on the hunt for more customers after signing a channel deal with distributor Finning UK & Ireland.

The deal will see Finning offer BaseLayer’s modular data centre technology, which is designed to optimise energy efficiency and to be used both inside and outside of buildings.

Baselayer hopes the deal will enable Finning to distribute operational data centre capacity wherever and whenever customers need it.

Peter McNamara, VP of worldwide sales and customer operations at BASELAYER, said: "The partnership expands Baselayer’s reach and strengthens our ability to transform the data centre industry."

Ian Wilcoxson, market Sector manager for data centres at Finning, said: "Baselayer’s data centre infrastructure has been adopted by some of the most demanding enterprise technology users in the world."

"The standardised modules, built using lean manufacturing principles, deliver high levels of reliability, security and efficiency."
