Data centre demands push Dell to expand networking portfolio

News: Company introduces campus network architecture for simplified deployment, manageability and investment protection.

By Joao Lima

Dell has unveiled a campus network architecture and other networking solutions to address growing complexities in campus networking and skyrocketing bandwidth demands in the data centre.

The unified-campus architecture has been designed for mid- to large-scale campus environments to improve scalability and simplify management.

To power the new campus network architecture, the company is launching the Dell Networking C9010 Networking Director, a next-generation multi-rate capable modular switch, and the C1048 Rapid Access Node.

Dell said the real power of the C9010 can be achieved when paired with the C1048P Rapid Access Node to deliver simplicity and scalability in the campus.

The company has also introduced the Dell Networking S6100-ON switch for the data centre, which combines multi-rate connectivity, modularity, and open networking to deliver unparalleled in-rack networking flexibility.
