Bharti Airtel has selected Acision to provide a fully managed service for its Multimedia Messaging Service Centre (MMSC) infrastructure. Acision has replaced Bharti Airtel’s existing MMS provider to adopt across its subscriber base, and improve the MMS services.
Acision said that Bharti Airtel required a flexible MMSC system to make MMS more accepted. Acision is going to offer Bharti Airtel an improved approach to messaging and the ability to support MMS traffic across Bharti Airtel’s customer base.
According to Acision, it will enable Bharti Airtel to provide an enhanced internet service, charge for messaging and data use, analyse usage behaviour, control spam and malicious messages, and format MMS images for any MMS device.
Acision claims that the MMS deployment positions Bharti Airtel to market improved MMS and respond to the demand for rich multimedia messages, including video and audio files.
