The company posted revenues of NIS3.16 billion for the third quarter of 2008, compared to NIS3.14 billion in the corresponding period of 2007. The company’s EBITDA for the third quarter of 2008 increased by 19.6% to NIS1.24 billion from NIS1.04 billion in the comparable period of 2007. Operating profit for the third quarter of 2008 increases by 37.9% to NIS822 million from NIS596 million in the parallel period of 2007.
For the nine months period ended September 30, 2008, the company posted a net profit attributable to shareholders of NIS1.34 billion, up 30.9% from NIS1.01 billion in the same period of 2007. The company’s revenues increased to NIS9.28 billion for the first nine months of 2008, from NIS9.28 billion in the corresponding period of 2007.For the first nine months of 2008, the company’s operating profit increased 25.4% to NIS2.28 billion from NIS1.82 billion in the comparable period of 2007.
Shlomo Rodav, chairman of the board of Bezeq, said: Bezeq’s performance was driven by year-over-year revenue growth in our Pelephone, Bezeq International and yes business segments while our fixed-line segment outperformed by reporting revenues roughly in line with the year ago period, when excluding the impact of cellular interconnect fees.
