ATX , a U.S. based provider of telematics services to automobile manufacturers, has announced that it will partner with Toyota Motor Sales USA to deploy Lexus Enform and Safety Connect, Toyota’s all-new telematics platform.
Safety Connect will include four safety and security facets: automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle location, emergency assistance button and roadside assistance.
ATX has said that it will provide multiple types of services including traditional location-based crash and in-vehicle emergency button response, maintenance reminders, and destination directions downloaded to the vehicle.
Jon Bucci, vice president of advanced technology department at Toyota Motor Sales USA, said: ATX brings over a decade of experience launching a variety of successful telematics platforms. ATX’s passion for telematics shows in their willingness to meet our specific business needs as well as Toyota’s high standards for personalised, customer care.
Previously, Toyota Motor Sales USA has announced that it will launch its proprietary telematics systems in the year to come. The all-new systems will be available on select models with customised versions for both Lexus and Toyota brands.
Jon Bucci, vice president of advanced technology department at Toyota Motor Sales USA, said: We are proud to introduce these services and advance our relationships with our customers by providing them the features they need to feel safer and more secure while on the road. Our primary focus while developing our services was on three key traits: choice, convenience and control. This article is from the CBROnline archive: some formatting and images may not be present.
