Amazon seeks developers for new PC game project

The company said it is committed to building great teams.

By CBR Staff Writer

Amazon is seeking to hire developers to work on its new PC game project.

The new appointees will join a team that already have already created popular games including Portal, World of Warcraft, and BioShock.

The company’s existing development team in Seattle has worked on projects like Half Life 2, Left for Dead, Dota 2, Halo, Infamous, Shadows of Mordor and The Last of Us.

Amazon wrote on gaming website Gamasutra, "Amazon is committed to gamers, and building great teams who are excited to use Twitch, the AWS cloud, and technical innovation to radically evolve gameplay.

"We want people that are driven to make the best games in the industry. We’re looking to take interesting risks, and invent!."

Last year, Amazon acquired the US-based video game developer Double Helix Games for an undisclosed sum.
