Correction: Convex Computer Corp in the UK makes it clear that the announcement sent out by the US parent on BusinessWire on Monday was thoroughly misleading – the company says that it has cut tags on its C1 minisupercomputers but this has primarily been achieved by unbundling the processor from software and disks and that it is the single processor C1 XP which is reduced by 33% to $320,000 not the dual processor C1 XP2 (CI No 738).
