Ex-IBM Personal Computer luminary Dan Wilkie has resigned as president and chief operating officer of Tandon Corp, the posts going back to the Big Boss, Sirjang Lal Tandon, but he’s not leaving the company: he is only about 18 months into a four-year contract worth a minimum $250,000 a year, and will be advising Jugi Tandon on new business opportunities; he is also looking into the Tandon maintenance and repair arm, which looks after the company’s retail computers and disk drives, with a view to extend-ing the service to other manufacturers’ kit – in that case the unit would be spun off under Wilkie.
