Eco4Cloud, the virtualization maximization and datacenter optimization player has appointed to the Advisory Board of RenewIT, a European Commission research project focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency in the Data Centres.

The Advisory Board includes experts from the commercial data centre industry as well as leading scientific researchers, including Schneider Electric, the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the University of Leeds.

RenewIT will contribute to new and established metrics, data centre management, and the wider policy implications of renewables in data centres. Along with the other members of the Advisory Board, Eco4Cloud will provide feedback on technical developments and will also act as ambassador for the project.

"The appointment to the Advisory Board of the RenewIT Project is both a honor and a responsibility, as well as a testament of Eco4Cloud’s thought leadership in the area of Data Centre optimization. Scientific innovation applied to compelling industry needs is foundational for both Eco4Cloud and RenewIT, and I trust this strategic collaboration will drive great benefits for the entire data centre ecosystem in Europe and globally," said Roberto Mircoli, CEO of Eco4Cloud.
