DARLING OF FRENCH MARKET WOWS INVESTORS WITH RESULTS

By CBR Staff Writer

BVRP Software, one of the darlings of France’s Nouveau Marche and a world leader in PC communications software, reported spectacular results, with revenues up 53%, to approximately $7.48m, and net profit up 79% to approximately $896,000 for the fiscal year 97, ended July 31,. The results were higher than those predicted at the time of the company’s introduction to the stock market last December, when company management predicted revenues of $6.27m and net profit of $672,000. BVRP, which has a significant presence in the US, said its growth was due both to international OEM sales and to its recently launched internet/online services activity. The company says its profit will provide the means to maintain its accelerated growth. In the last year, BVRP has increased its staff from 49 to 93. The company has revised its revenue predictions for 1997/98 upwards, to $10m, compared to $8.96m previously announced.
