Chemicals B2B marketplace Chemresult.com has chosen Danzas as its logistics partner.
Chemresult.com, a site where registered industrial clients can compare quotations and order chemicals online, is the world’s biggest online marketplace for chemicals trading. Danzas was chosen by the Belgian-based eMarketplace to give online quotes for transport price and expected time of delivery, which required it to build a global rate database.
Danzas will manage the entire transport chain, covering elements such as customs clearance, consignment tracking and interim storage. The electronic linkage between customers, suppliers and logistics specialist enables substantial savings in time and costs as well as improved market transparency. Danzas, which organizes the service via its World Service Center in London, must be prepared to deliver anything from a tonne of silica gel to a truckload of lactic acid to anywhere in the world.
The Chemresult deal highlights Danzas’ strengths. A major factor is its ability to act as a single source for all global logistics solutions covering the whole supply chain, from transportation to customs clearance and storage, throughout the world. It also has substantial experience in providing specialized logistics solutions to industry sectors, in this case the chemical industry. And Danzas already has experience in B2B marketplaces. No wonder, then, that it was an obvious choice for Chemresult.
With the impending IPO of Deutsche Post, Danzas’ parent company, its involvement in wide-reaching projects such as eMarketplaces can only improve its already high profile as a global logistics provider. Its experience and size will also allow it to continue to do well in capturing business in this sector.
