Dainidenden has added a high-speed 3Mbits-per-second digital leased line service, double the previous peak speed, beating Nippon Telegraph to market by about four month, as well as undercutting it by about 10%: orders are already in from value-added network providers who will pay about $27,500 per month for Tokyo-Osaka lines; NTT will charge about $40,000 for two lines totalling 6Mbps over distances of up to 100 miles.
