DAEWOO WINS CHINESE CELLULAR CONTRACT

Daewoo Corp signed a contract with China United Telecommunications Corp to start a cellular phone service in China. Daewoo will make an initial investment of $15m in the venture. Total investment is estimated at $500m and service is scheduled to start in the second half of the year.
