Daewoo Electronics Co, Seoul, South Korea has won a $100m one-year contract to supply Irvine, California-based AST Research Inc with monitors: the contract calls for Daewoo Electronics to supply AST with more than 500,000 units of seven different monitors, making it the largest supplier of tubes to AST, accounting for more than 50% of its annual demand; it will set up special production lines to make monitors for AST in its factories in Kumi city.
