Daewoo Electronics Co denied a Sunday Times of London story that it had settled on the UK for its new $1,080m semiconductor plant, alongside its existing plant complex in Ulster. The paper also said that the LG Group was prospecting in the UK for a site for a #1,500m plant for chips and consumer electronics.
