DACOM SYSTEMS NOW SELLING CDS V32 TRELLIS MODEM IN UK

By CBR Staff Writer

Concord Data Systems’ UK distributor Dacom Systems of Milton Keynes is now selling the CDS V32 trellis modem from the Marlboro, Massachusetts company in the UK at UKP2,895: the product, running at 4,800 or 9,600bps over dial-up and leased lines, uses the trellis coded modulation technique, which Dacom claims reduces errors by a ratio of about 1,000 to one by greatly improving the signal-to-noise ratio.
