D-Link, a provider of connectivity for small, medium and large enterprise business networking, has launched two service routers D-Link DSR-500N and DSR-1000N to address essential office network service needs in a single box.
The Unified Service Routers, D-Link DSR-500N and DSR-1000N, are full-featured offerings that offer comprehensive traffic management, superior wireless performance, security, and deployment capabilities for the network, the company claims.
By using the D-Link Unified Services Router, SMBs can communicate with employees even when they are away from the office through its Virtual Private Network (VPN) capabilities.
The D-Link DSR series router enables clientless connections to resources at the main office anywhere via a web browser using security features such as SSL VPN tunneling.
The DSR series offers Wi-Fi support and supports internet protocol version 4 (IPv4) and next generation IPv6 to help protect current investments, as well as supports tunneling between IPv4 and IPv6.
The new routers enables users to experience high-speed wireless data rates with minimal ‘dead spots’ where little to no signal is found within coverage areas, because of their compatible with IEEE 802.11n.
The DSR-500N supports 2.4 GHz single band IEEE 802.11b/g/n with 2×3 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology, while the DSR-1000N supports 2.4/5 GHz configurable dual band IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n with 2×3 MIMO technology.
The D-Link Unified Services Router DSR series comes integrated with four gigabit ports each, which enable the sharing of multiple devices in the office network.
The DSR-1000N also offers 3G WAN redundancy, outbound load balancing, physical traffic failover, and route failover, the company said.
D-Link Middle East & Africa regional director Harrison Albert said the D-Link DSR series combines the services and functions usually found in multiple devices, and puts them into one device to eliminate unnecessary complexity to users network.
