Papers on a suspected case of software piracy have been passed on to district prosecutors in Ostrava in the Czech Republic. Milan Kroslak of the Ostravan police department was quoted by the Czech News Agency as confirming that the department was investigating a breach of the 1991 Copyright Law, which was extended earlier this year with breaches made punishable by jail terms. Until now there have been no reported cases of prosecutions for software piracy in Eastern Europe.
