According to the Czech Telecommunications Office (CTU), only Eurotel and RadioMobil have bid for a license.

Previous attempts to sell the licenses have failed to attract any interest; with potential bidders claiming the reserve price was too high. Cesky Mobil still believes the $94 million price tag is too high, and says this is why in hasn’t submitted a bid.

The current conditions of the auction run the risk that Cesky Mobil’s customers would pay too high a price for UMTS services, Cesky Mobil said to the press.

The winners of the auction will pay £26 million immediately and the balance over the following 10 years.
