Cyrix Corp is working on a software patch for its 6×86 P200+ chip that will improve its performance when running Windows NT Workstation 4.0. PC Week reports. Currently, systems based on that chip run about 25% slower under that operating system because the write-back cache was disabled to fix earlier instability problems, the company confirmed.
