Cyrix Corp, Richardson, Texas yesterday unveiled the first iteration of its M1 Pentium-killer, showing a chip that measures a vast 0.8 by 0.76, more than twice as large as the Pentium, but it fits a Pentium socket and is claimed to run 30% to 50% faster: the company expects to have first working samples in days.
