Cyrix Corp duly launched its – Electronic Data Systems Corp- manufactured – first personal computers under the same 6×86 name as its processors. The company claims its 6×86-P166PC outperforms 166MHz Pentium processor offerings from Gateway 2000 Inc and Dell Computer Corp on the Winstone 96 benchmark. The machines come pre-loaded with Windows95 and fully configured prices go from $2,400 for the 6×86-P133 to $5,200 for the 6×86-P166.
