Up to 170 jobs could be lost at Cyrix Corp following its acquisition by Via Technologies Inc. Reports suggested that Via would lay off 170, then interview the remaining 160 staff for possible positions within the company. Last week, Via also acquired the Centaur unit of Integrated Device Technologies Inc.
