These are halcyon days in the chip business, so much so that San Jose-based Cypress Semiconductor Corp is happy to be able to distribute a quarterly profit-sharing cheque for $687.26 to each eligible employee this quarter: the cheques are in in recognition of each employee’s contribution to the company’s profitable final quarter ended December 28, when Cypress achieved its 16th consecutive quarter of increasing revenues, on which it made $4.0m.
