CYPRESS CHIEF EXPECTED TO OPPOSE PROPOSED SUBSIDIES

Dr T.J. Rodgers, president and chief executive officer at Cypress Semiconductor Corp is expected to oppose US government corporate subsidies before Senate committees today. Rodgers is testifying at a hearing focused on management reform within the Department of Commerce, arguing that government-funded consortia will continue to be ineffective in improving the competitiveness of US industry. Rodgers is known for his criticism, this being his sixth testimony.
