LastPass has found data that belongs to about 152 million Adobe Systems user accounts, urging that the breach reported a month ago hit more users than earlier reported.

The password security firm suggested that the breach reported a month ago is far bigger than Adobe has so far disclosed after ituncovered email addresses, encrypted passwords and password hints stored on a secretive website visited by hackers.

The data included about 25 million customer accounts with invalid email addresses, 18 million accounts with invalid passwords, which had been created for one-time use, Reuters reported.

Adobe reportedly lost data of more than 38 million customer accounts, on top of the stolen data on about three million accounts a month earlier.

The software maker reported that hackers had stolen part of the source code to Photoshop editing software, which is widely deployed by photography professionals.

Using the same passwords for multiple accounts by Adobe consumers made their accounts vulnerable, allowing hackers to break and enter other accounts, according to Adobe.

Hackers were also able to access Adobe users’ names as well as their credit and debit card numbers and expiration dates.
