Arbor Networks, a provider of DDoS and advanced threat protection solutions for enterprise and service provider networks, has announced that Exatel, a telecommunications operator, has deployed Arbor Networks’ Peakflow SP platform to launch a managed security service to enterprise customers.
Colin Doherty, president of Arbor Networks, said: "Enterprise customers are rightly concerned about DDoS attacks as they represent a significant threat to the availability of networks, applications and services. Exatel is known throughout Poland for offering the highest quality services. They are meeting a real market need by delivering DDoS managed security services to enterprise customers."
Arbor Networks is a unique way of assisting service providers to maximize the business value they deliver to enterprise customers with the Peakflow platform. Deployed by the many of the world’s leading service providers, Arbor’s Peakflow SP platform includes two main components, Peakflow SP and the Threat Management System (TMS).
Peakflow SP combines network-wide anomaly detection and traffic engineering with TMS’s carrier-class threat management capabilities. When Peakflow SP identifies an attack, customer traffic is diverted to the Arbor Threat Management System where it is scrubbed, and network and application-layer attack traffic surgically removed, while legitimate business traffic is passed through to the customer without interrupting services. The combination of visibility and security helps Exatel to secure their own network whilst offering critical revenue generating services to their enterprise customers.
President of Exatel, Wojciech Pomykala, said: "Our customers are very concerned about the DDoS threat, that is why we are reaching for the best solutions accessible in the world. The partnership with Arbor Networks, the world’s leader in DDoS protection solutions, will allow us to offer our customers the best solution available. We are glad we have joined the Arbor’s partners in Europe."
