Gossip in Hong Kong has Cable & Wireless Plc selling a 7% stake in Hong Kong Telecommunications Ltd to Singapore Telecom in a deal that would raise about UKP400m: Cable & Wireless currently has 58.5% of the Hong Kong phone company and has said that it will not go below 50%.
