Cable & Wireless Plc will raise its stake in its Japanese joint venture Fair-Way Networks Ltd and change the name to Cable & Wireless Japan Communications Services Ltd with effect from July 1: the new stake will be 82;2%, up from just below 80%, due to the improved prospects for data and facsimile services.
