International telco Cable & Wireless Plc has acquired 100% of the cabling and marine business of General Offshore Corp, a joint venture previously co-owned with Hannon Armstrong and Co. C&W is boosting its cable laying business, which is run through its C&W Marine Ltd. C&W previously owned a 40% stake in GOC and has swapped with HAC, the 100% stake in the maintenance and services unit of GOC called Amstar. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
