Cable & Wireless Plc has announced a joint venture with Indonesian firm PT Trikora Lloyd to set up, install and service a network of submarine cables in the Indonesian archipelago. The new company, PT MaCaSer Indonesia, will be working closely with domestic operators PT Telkom and PT Indosat. PT Trikora Lloyd will hold a 45% stake in the joint venture, Cable & Wireless Marine, 55%. The firm will be capitalized at $1m.
