Sunnyvale, California-based David Systems Inc has the David ExpressWay Wide Area Network Server 64, which is an AT bus adaptor that contains processor, memory, and communications software: it can be configured to perform any of three applications – Asynchronous Access, Ethernet 802.3 Bridge, and NetWare IPX Router; pricing on the Server 64 is modular for the base unit, each communications module and each software application – for example, the base unit list price is $2,550, but when fully configured with 32 ports of Async Access, the cost is approximately $240 per port; the ExpressWay Server 64 with Async Access is available this quarter, the bridge and router applications will be delivered in next quarter.
