CUMULUS TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPS LETTER-QUALITY DISPLAY TERMINALS

Cumulus Technology, a start-up company based in Palo Alto, California, says it has developed letter-quality display terminals for terminal-intensive applications using a 15 paper white flat screen, a 75Hz refresh rate to eliminate flicker and large characters to make reading easy: the HPC, aimed at Hewlett Packard users, costs $795 and comes with 16Kb of non-volatile memory and 16Kb of display memory, completely emulates the HP2392/A and HP2394/A terminals and is compatible with the HP700/9X series.
